Commencing in 1992 when Jim Town sold his last business and affiliated with Prime Business Investments, Inc., one of the oldest business brokerages in Georgia, the practice has evolved from intermediary services to a primary focus on finding value to maximize net sale proceeds.  Jim has been trading as Commercial Property Investments for brokerage/intermediary services in Georgia, and registered that name when Business Evaluation & Appraisal, Inc., was incorporated in 2002 as a Florida entity.  He continues to be an associate broker with Prime Business in Georgia.

Jim holds the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation conferred by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), and is active in the testing and certification of new CBIs, as well as serving as an instructor for IBBA.

Based upon a personal interest in valuing businesses, Jim is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers (#9625-01) and has completed the 8 day training program with examinations, including annual continuing education courses. 

Jim is a licensed real estate broker in Florida and Georgia, a past officer and director of the Georgia Association of Business Brokers (GABB), a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club, completed a 2-year term on the Education Advisory Committee of the Georgia Real Estate Commission in 2003, and is currently secretary of the North Florida District of the Business Brokers of Florida (BBF).  He is a frequent presenter at various trade conferences.  We work in the Southeastern U.S. with a primary client base in Atlanta, GA and North Florida.
